Last night I attended the North Florida Hotel and Lodging Association (NFHLA) Annual ROSE Awards where individuals in the hospitality industry are honored for their service. As I heard the stories of the winners, I left knowing they all must love their jobs because they had gone so above and beyond their jobs to help a traveler, someone in need. Whether it was the person who worked all night, a double shift, to make sure a group didn’t miss their shuttle the next morning, or the person who went to a guest home on their own time, to repair the heating & air, all the stories were of loving, caring and helping others.
It’s a tough job to wait on people in a restaurant and be the person at the front desk or the person who cleans the rooms in a hotel and the awards dinner showcased the “best of the best” and the stories were inspiring.
The program itself was run so well by the NFHLA, it honored the nominees and the winners. It was inspiring, on time and interesting. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners!
