Living Large in Los Angeles

I’ve been in LA for a week. First, staying at the #Biltmore in downtown LA. The Biltmore is famous for the hollywood stars that have frequented this hotel, the hollywood events that were held there and the beautiful common areas. Look up and the ceilings are works of art. They are celebrating the #Biltmore90thAnniversary this year. I have to say, I was less than impressed. I asked but was denied access to the club level-that’s where the suites and decent rooms are. Otherwise, the rooms are old and dreary. The gift shop was closed because of a water leak. The one restaurant that said it was open for dinner was not and breakfast was a minimum of $25-not matter what I ordered. That having been said, the food was delicious the staff wonderful and I loved the bar. Beautiful, intimate and believe it or not the price of a nice glass of wine was $11.00.

This week I am staying in a wonderful hotel-more my style-The Luxe at LA Live-the entertainment complex in downtown LA with the Staples Center anchoring it. This weekend WWE is at LA Live and Taylor Swift is here 4 nights-no tickets to be found.

The weather is perfect: mid seventies during the day, blue & sunny skies with no humidity or if there is any, I don’t feel it because it’s not Florida humidity.

Today, headed to The Ivy for brunch-maybe we will see a celebrity or two and then it’s off to walk Rodeo Drive.

More to come later…..
