Lovely article about just one of the many re-enactments and events happening in St. Augustine in coordination with the Viva 500 celebration in Florida. Everyday I drive across the Bridge of Lions and see the El Galeon, a replica of the ship that Ponce de Leon sailed from Puerto Rico and discovered Florida. It’s incredible!
The 16th century sailing ship will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through June 23, for public visits. Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for children; ages 6 to 12, and children age 5 and under are free.
