The North Florida Hotel & Lodging Association (NFHLA) is hosting its 7th Annual ROSE (Recognition of Service Excellence) Awards on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort.
The annual event fulfills the mission of the NFHLA ROSE Awards and recognizes champions of the tourism industry who create an extraordinary visitor experience and demonstrate excellent customer service. This years’ Rose Awards Committee selected winners in 24 categories from over 145 nominations. With over 40,000 hospitality employees in North Florida, the event is a much anticipated celebration of the best of the best averaging around 500 attendees.
Brent Martineau, Sports Director with Action News/Fox 30 TV, this years’ event emcee says it best, “I travel thousands of miles a year to cover events around the world and always appreciate a warm, genuine smiling face. When we host visitors in the Jacksonville area, our guests also enjoy and recognize the importance of the people who comprise the service and hospitality industry. They’re our Ambassadors.”
As a travel & lifestyle writer and photographer, I am on the road constantly. I have a great appreciation for people who work in the hospitality industry and I visit with them often. I find kind, professional people that are proud of the work they do and they do their jobs well. They are the people that make it possible to travel and do my job. The ROSE Awards Event is a great way to recognize those that go above and beyond in customer service and represent the industry so well.
