What do you drink while on airplanes? Between the hurry up and wait of finally getting on the plane, it’s quite possible you’ve been drinking soda, or cocktails before you even get on the plane so it’s very tempting (with so much time on your hands while flying), to drink an alcoholic drink while flying.
I just returned from Breckenridge, CO. I live in Florida so the altitude difference is huge. In years past, every time I’ve traveled to Denver, I had an extreme headache the entire trip. I decided I was going to be at an altitude of 9000 or above and I better start hydrating early. I drank probably three times the water I usually drink daily and I drink a good amount already.
Each way, after going through security, I bought a large bottle of water for the flight. I still had a headache on and off but with the help of a humidifier at night and a lot of water each day, it was much less painful.
I did allow myself a glass of wine of the flight home but still drank a lot of water.
So, what’s your choice of drink for flying? This article from Leisure & Travel makes some good points. Read it all and you will see why I bring my own bottled water with me. Would love to read your thoughts below.
